Music in Home Design and Architecture

Music is no doubt one of the most powerful ways to communicate. It plays a significant role in almost all facets of society from business and entertainment to education and religion. It holds some kind of magic that people cannot simply ignore listening to one or humming to a good tune. In the area of interior home design, music has been a great inspiration for many. Visiting their homes, you will find varied ways by which music was incorporated in the decor. Some use it to design their space in semblance with as certain type of music or genre. While some go with the eclectic theme, combining different music to form a distinctively unique space.

Meanwhile, in the area of architecture design, structural works and music pieces are thought of as two different things that are closely associated. In fact, the relationship between the two has long been recognised in the architectural world. Famous German writer and polymath, Goethe, described great architecture as frozen music in one of his works, while music is frequently described in architectural jargons. Examples are Anton Buckner's symphonies, which are often referred to as cathedrals. Structural evidences providing proof that music and architecture are recognised as something that works together also exists.
